Comfortable Yeonpo with a thick forest
Yeonpo is a comfortable summer resort which is located on the small Anheung peninsula, which branches from the Taean peninsula. Many young lovers visit this place. You can unusual mood at Sinjindo (island) which is connected by a bridge with Anhongseong (castle) which is a historic site neighboring Yeonpo.
Anhongseong (Chungcheongnamdo memorial No.11) is a fortress blessed with natural barriers for defense surrounded by sea on all sides but one and it had been used as a reception place for Chinese envoys.

Taeguksa is a small and cozy temple in Anhongseong and was founded in the Baekje period (King Muwang 34th year, 633)
Sinjindo is in the limelight as a new tourist resort since Sinjin grand bridge was built to link the island and land (1990). Gauido in front of Sinjindo is beautiful as much as a painting in the shall foggy morning in the sea.

Sinjindo: Seohae Motel, Gipung Motel, Sinjindang, etc.
You can enjoy tasty natural raw rock fish at Yeonpo and neighboring Anheung port. The dry seaweed and short-necked clam of beautiful Jeongsanpo (1km from Yeonpo to Anheung direction and 3.2km after turning right) are well-known local products in this place.
